Dear American Indian Magnet School Community,
I am pleased to share with you that I have selected a new full-time leader for American Indian Magnet School. Please join me in officially welcoming Julie Hutcheson-Downwind as your school’s full-time principal beginning in the 2024-25 school year. Principal Downwind did a great job leading AIMS as the interim principal this school year.
Prior to joining American Indian Magnet School as interim principal last fall, Principal Downwind spent 30 years within Saint Paul Public Schools - most at American Indian Magnet School in leadership positions such as a lead teacher, coach, and curriculum integration specialist.
Principal Downwind looks forward to continuing to partner with families, students, staff and the community to continue the great work at American Indian Magnet School.
