The logo for Saint Paul Public Schools, featuring a white abstract "SP" design with a star at the end of an upward-curving line, all within a white rectangle. To the right of the rectangle, "Saint Paul" is written in larger white text, with "PUBLIC SCHOOLS" in smaller white text below it. The entire logo is set against a solid blue background.

Dear Saint Paul Public Schools Community,

On behalf of Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) and the Saint Paul Federation of Educators (SPFE), I am pleased to share that we have reached tentative agreements on new contracts for our Licensed Staff, Educational Assistants, and School and Community Service Professionals.

These agreements were reached after several months of open bargaining between the district and SPFE bargaining teams. For the first time in many years, the tentative agreements were reached ahead of the new school year and without the need for mediation—a milestone that reflects the shared commitment of SPPS and SPFE to prioritize students and foster a positive start to the academic year.

As we look forward to the new school year, I am thankful that we were able to work together and reach agreements that uphold what is best for our students and ensure our employees are compensated for their hard work. Details about the agreements will be available after they are approved by SPFE’s members and the SPPS Board of Education at an upcoming meeting.

At SPPS, we are committed to our mission of inspiring students to think critically, pursue their dreams and change the world. We are also focused on coming together as one community. This includes informing St. Paul residents about the upcoming referendum this November. I encourage you to learn more about the referendum at spps.org/vote.

In partnership,

Dr. Stacie Stanley, Superintendent, Saint Paul Public Schools
