| | | About Ms. Sasha | | | | Sasha Odermann-Karr | Hello, Hola, and Nyob xoo. I am Sasha Odermann-Karr, or Miss Shasha to my students and their parents. I started teaching in 1997 as an ESL teacher at American Indian Magnet. Since then, many things have changed and evolved, including my job title and models for teaching. I am now called an English Language Learner teacher, or ELL teacher. From year to year I may teach ELL students within the Reader’s, Writer’s, and/or Math workshop models. One thing that (almost) never changes is how much I enjoy and continue to be challenged by my job. I enjoy teaching reading so much that I recently completed my K-12 Reading License at Hamline University.
I live in Saint Paul with my husband, daughter, rescued dog, and cats. My hobbies are reading, gardening, biking, and shoe shopping. I also enjoy writing and photography when there is enough time.
