About ALC
The ALC program during the school year targets students who need support in math, reading, and writing because they are performing below grade level in one or more of these areas. It is not an enrichment program, a homework help program.  ALC starts immediately after school on Mondays and Wednesdays, students are given a nutritious snack before they begin academic activities. The program officially ends at 5:45. Bus transportation home is provided to students who ride buses during the day or have drop-off addresses that qualify for bus transportation. Although some homework support may be provided, that is not the focus of the academic support.
