Student Showcase 2009
Ms.
Mahoney, Ms. Swensen and four 2nd grade students presented their projects at the Student Showcase (Technology Fair) at Arlington High School.  Eight high schools, four Middle Schools and thirteen
Elementary Schools were chosen to participate this year.
What We Did:
Students used KidPix to show and label one of the three Minnesota habitats (grasslands, woodlands, wetlands)
and the animals, plants and insects that live there.  They also drew and labeled animal/insect tracks.  Photos taken by students at the Minnesota Wildlife Refuge were imported and labeled too.
Students also recorded their voices saying the Ojibwe and English words for some of the animals in these habitats. Later, using ComicLife students created three-sided table displays with photos and descriptions

Funds For Our School - "Got Milk Caps?"
Please save Kemps milk caps and labels from many of the food products that you use.
These labels will help the school purchase items throughout the school year. Here are just a few of the items you may have in your kitchen: Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, General Mills, and Hickory Farms. Just cut out the label or the proof of purchase and send it to school. You can do this all school year!
